Gigline Partners with Nitobi

Nitobi Logo

This month marks the official partnership with Nitobi. Nitobi already offers a full spectrum of Ajax related tools and services, most notably the Nitobi Complete UI. The Complete UI is a component-based set of Ajax components with server library and tool support for Java, .NET, ASP, PHP, and Dreamweaver. Now Gigline Software is entering the fold, creating a set of custom JSF components that will allow JSF users to easily integrate Nitobi into their projects.

The component will be initially built around the current Nitobi components but will expand to include drag drop capabilities for Eclipse, NetBeans, and IntelliJ IDEA. The is to introduce a quality, powerful, and easy-to-implement Java-based Nitobi environment geared for rapid application development.

We plan to have a beta release in the next month, so if you would like to test it in your application, please contact us.

Given the close, working relationship with Nitobi, Gigline Software is now in a better position than ever to offer expert consulting services for companies who need consultation with a Nitobi project.

GiglineSoftware.com Reborn

Gigline is now practicing what it preaches! For the past two years, Vortex Networking has been fantastic in offering hosting for our previous site. They have been fast and reliable. However, given Gigline Software is primarily a Java Enterprise software company, it seemed only appropriate that the site be something a little more than static content in a non-Java environment. It's taken two years to do it, but we now have a completely new website, based on JSF Facelets (a rockin' technology), served on Glassfish, and hosted by the good people of Entic.net.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Anil over at Entic for his personal support. This guy is very dedicated. Since I've always been a Linux/Mac guy, moving over to Solaris has been a little foreign to me. To some degree, Unix is Unix is Unix is Unix, but then you enter the real world. Anil was happy to translate my Red Hat speak to the Solaris machines, and now I have a nice, solid virtual server. What an incredible difference that makes from shared hosting; the server is amazingly fast!

Stay tuned over the next few months as I implement new features. Eventually I will have blogs, customer areas, and perhaps even a wiki for the Nitobi components. Nate over at Vortex Networking has expressed his desire to write a Mac column, and I plan to do the same for Java.
